As Senior Vice President of Marketing, Mr.Lazares leads our corporate marketing, segment marketing and field marketing teams, leveraging their collective strengths to grow revenue by driving awareness of Avid’s market-leading product portfolio, building a vibrant customer community and developing and launching integrated marketing campaigns.
Mr. Lazares has over twenty years of product and marketing experience. Before joining Avid, Mr. Lazares was the Vice President of Strategy and Application Development at Oracle Corporation, where he led a global team of more than 300 individuals that organically built and brought to market Oracle’s Application Integration Architecture (AIA) and its portfolio of products. Prior to Oracle, Mr. Lazares spent several years as Senior Director of Product Strategy & Management at PeopleSoft Inc. (acquired by Oracle). In that role he led the creation of key product offerings and was responsible for market development and a set of strategic partner initiatives.
Before PeopleSoft, Mr. Lazares worked in marketing and leadership roles at Vitria Technology, Inc., Zaplet, Inc., and Monsanto, Inc., and spent the early part of his career in consumer brand management and marketing roles.
Mr. Lazares earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University.
